Well, next week’s sure to be a busy one.
Firstly there’s the annual Oculus Connect developer conference for all the latest from Facebook. As if that weren’t enough, Sony just set a date for its next State of Play broadcast too. The third installment in the series will air at 1pm PT on September 24. That’s next Tuesday.

State of Play is basically Sony’s own version of a Nintendo Direct. Launched earlier this year, it fills people in on new titles coming to PlayStation. That includes PSVR games; Iron Man VR and No Man’s Sky VR were both announced in the pilot episode.
So, what to expect in this installment? Well it’s a good bet that Sony will be focused on The Last of Us Part II. Naughty Dog’s highly-anticipated sequel (which sadly don’t have VR support) is hosting a press event next week too.
But that doesn’t mean we won’t have any PSVR news. As far as we know, the PlayStation-published Iron Man VR is still due to release this year. That window is running out, so we’d hope to learn the final release date next week. We also recently rounded up a list of all the PSVR titles we’re looking forward to before the end of the year. That includes games like GORN and Doctor Who: The Edge of Time. Perhaps we’ll learn more about them during the show?
We’ve also got our fingers crossed for some information on 2020 titles, though we almost certainly won’t hear anything about PS5. Keep your breath held for that one.
