Stephen King's It Remake Has A Spooky VR Experience

The remake of Stephen King’s It from Warners Bros. and New Line Cinema isn’t out for a few more weeks yet, but you can already dive into a terrifying new VR experience based on the film.

Built by SunnyBoy Entertainment, It: Float is a 3D 360 video that introduces you to everyone’s least favorite clown: Pennywise. What begins as something of a tribute to a classic scene in the original film quickly descends into anarchy as you enter a nightmarish world. As you might expect there’s jump scares galore and enough red balloons to die for.

UploadVR readers will know that I’m not the bravest of the bunch, but I could just about stomach watching this in-browser. There’s not a chance you’d get me to watch it inside a VR headset, though.

Interestingly the end of the video reveals that more VR content for It is on the way later this year for Gear VR and Daydream. The movie opens on September 8th so we’d expect to see something new around then.
