Superhot VR is the king of PlayStation VR (PSVR) sales on the PlayStation Store for a second month running.
The stylish shooter, in which time moves only when players do, was the best-selling game on Sony’s digital store in August in both the EU and US. As always, that doesn’t necessarily mean Superhot VR was the best-selling game overall, as there are physical sales to consider too, though Superhot itself was only released digitally.
With a lack of really big releases in August, there isn’t too much new in the charts this month save for Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul. The horror tie-in debuted at the number 2 spot in both the US and EU. The EU list is then filled out with the usual suspects such as Batman: Arkham VR, Job Simulator, and PlayStation VR Worlds.
Over on the US side, Archangel managed to grab the sixth spot following a price drop soon after its launch. Wayward Sky’s Dino Frontier, which launched at the start of the month, debuted at the eight spot, though doesn’t feature in the EU top ten.
This month sees some promising new releases like Megaton Rainfall and the PSVR versions of Raw Data and The Solus Project; will they be able to make an impact on the charts.
