Following the game’s announcement earlier this year, Stonepunk Studios released the first gameplay teaser for Tarzan VR today.
The new VR title will launch later this year on PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, Valve Index and the Oculus Rift S. The game will see you play as the famous king of the jungle in 5-part “issues” released episodically.
The new gameplay trailer shows more than the initial teaser trailer, but we still have a lot of questions. As we already knew from a past press release, you’ll be able to climb, swing, swim and fight as Tarzan in the game. We got our first glimpse at some of those mechanics in the new trailer, but we’ve still yet to see any of the aforementioned Tarzan “jungle skills” in action, which the developers described as “Call of the Wild, Earth Vision and Fish Eye.”
There also seems to be an overarching story linking each issue together, although we didn’t get to see much of that in this gameplay trailer. We previously shared story details, giving you an idea of what to expect from each issue, in our last post.
The game, or at least the first “issue”, still does not have a solid release date. The new trailer simply states the game is coming soon, so we could still reasonably expect it to land before the end of the year, with the rest possibly releasing periodically in early 2020.
The game is available to wishlist on Steam now.
