BadFly Interactive has quickly become a popular name within the VR scene thanks to its surprisingly impressive port of Dead Effect 2 to the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. That project remains in Early Access, but BadFly also has a new game in the works that’s also headed to PC VR platforms.

Tauceti Unknown Origin, as the game’s called, was announced earlier this month, and is on its way to consoles, PC and mobile devices as well as VR headsets. In the game, you explore an alien planet filled with dangerous lifeforms. BadFly is promising co-op play for up to eight players, competitive modes, and role-playing game elements that blend with class-based gameplay. More than anything, though, we’re taken by the reveal trailer, which boasts some stunning visuals.

The game is actually set in the same universe as Dead Effect, though it’s a little too different to be considered a full sequel. Expect to explore rainforests, canyons, ruins and more.

Normally when a game looks this good and is geared towards traditional displays we’re skeptical that the developer will actually pull it off, with Dead Effect 2 already proving what BadFly can do with VR, we’re hopeful that this one delivers.
