Announced today at Meta’s annual Connect conference, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution releases December 1 for Meta Quest 2.
A 60-second trailer debuted during today’s Connect presentation, however we have an exclusive longer trailer direct from developers Skydance Interactive, embedded above. Not only is this trailer a bit longer than what was shown during Connect, but it’s also uncensored with extra gore The Walking Dead franchise is known for.
Skydance announced Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution in January this year, with the first trailer revealed during Meta’s Quest Gaming Showcase in April. Since the, we’ve had a steady trickle of news and gameplay. In June, Skydance confirmed a release on both the original PSVR and the upcoming PSVR 2 headset. Skydance told UploadVR it would share more information about the game’s release on other platforms at a later date.
In August, we got a meatier look at gameplay and some new details on what to expect from the follow-up. We learned that Retribution will allow players to traverse around at night, working with limited visibility and more walkers. There’s also a whole new area of the map to explore – the French Quarter of New Orleans – which will include access to some new weapons and items. Laser sights will be a welcome addition to any gun in your arsenal, while the new submachine gun and the chainsaw weapons will add hectic new ways to deal with large mobs of walkers.
