HTC Vive owners in Europe eager to cut the cord between the PC and headset can now pre-order the TPCAST wireless accessory.
We’ve found the system pretty capable in our testing with a few key caveats. Its ideal positioning on the top of the head might block headphones and though TPCAST is aware of a problem supporting voice chat the company hasn’t yet fixed it — so multiplayer gaming could be a no-go with the gear for a time.
The adapter costs around €349 / £319 and is available from the following sellers in Europe: Alternate, Alza, Amazon (Germany), Caseking, Digitec, Inet, OverClockers, Scan, Schenker Technologies, Webhallen.
The device is expected to arrive around Oct. 20.
Keep in mind that more wireless VR accessories are likely to ship in 2018 — ones we tested at E3 solved the headphones problem, for example.
