Ubisoft does indeed have a new VR game to reveal at its E3 conference today. Introducing Transference
The game is being developed by Spectrevision (which includes The Lord of the Rings’ Elijah Wood) and Ubisoft Montreal and was announced with a creepy new trailer that suggested deep psychological tones. Attempting to bridge the gap between movies and games, it tells the tale of a man’s obsession, which you’ll explore through digitally recreated memories, solving puzzles. It will feature a branching narrative, but that’s about all we know right now.
VR fans will likely remember that Wood narrated the Oculus Story Studio short film, Henry. It looks like his interest VR has stuck since then.

Transference is set to release in Spring 2018. It’s set to release on PlayStation VR (PSVR), Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive. It’s also listed for Xbox One which is expected to get VR support next year. IT’s entirely possible that it’s just coming to normal screens too; it’s also listed for PS4 and PC.
