Arizona Sunshine Dev Vertigo To Reveal New Game At E3

Who wants a good ol’ fashioned pre-E3 teaser? Vertigo Games, the developer of smash hit VR zombie shooter, Arizona Sunshine, appears to be hinting at an announcement.

The studio just posted a link to a new website. It doesn’t tell us much; you can see a TV sitting on a desk showing a lot of distortion. It also appears to be snowing and the music is, well, pretty darn creepy.

If you like your teases to be more direct, however, Oculus confirmed Vertigo will reveal a new game at E3 this year. Want to know when? Well, that countdown seems to line up pretty well with Upload’s E3 VR Showcase on Monday, June 10 at 9am PT, doesn’t it? You might want to be there right on time at that.

Outside of Arizona, Vertigo’s VR credits include a VR version of one of its first games, World of Diving, and a tabletop VR game called Skyworld. Diving was one of the first titles to implement VR support into a full game, while Skyworld was one of the first projects revealed for the HTC Vive (though it wouldn’t release until after Arizona). Arizona Sunshine, meanwhile, is one of VR’s biggest games, winning our 2016 Game of the Year award.

Vertigo also has a big presence in the location-based VR space with specialized versions of Arizona Sunshine and new games like The Corsair’s Curse.

Elsewhere, we know the team is currently working on a second DLC mission for Arizona Sunshine named The Damned. It also recently launched a Skyworld spin-off and published excellent VR puzzle game, The Fisherman’s Tale.
