Already trawled the many dungeons of The Mage’s Tale? Well, firstly, you might need to cut down on how much time you’re spending in VR; it only released this week. Secondly, there’s already another entry in the VR dungeon crawler genre on the way in KryptCrawler.
In truth, KryptCrawler looks a lot closer to Psytech Games’ Crystal Rift than it does this month’s Oculus Studios release. For starters, the game is coming to both the Gear VR and Oculus Rift and uses simple forms of control, like Gear’s touchpad. Played from a first-person perspective, you move one step at a time on a grid, progression deeper and deeper into a dark dungeon in which all kinds of nasty things await. Check out the announcement trailer for the game below. As you can see in the footage, both puzzle solving and sword and archery combat will be at play here.
Developed by Headup Games and CrazyBunch, KryptCrawler is releasing on July 20th.
