PlayStation Move fans have patiently been awaiting the arrival of support for one of PlayStation VR’s (PSVR’s) best titles, Windlands, since last year. Fortunately, they won’t have to wait much longer.
Developer Psytec Games recently confirmed to UploadVR that a patch adding Move support to the first-person platformer had recently been approved by Sony and is expected to be available by the end of next week. If you’ve already got the game then Move support is a free inclusion and if you haven’t picked it up yet then you’ll find support bundled inside.
You can checkout gameplay below.
I’ve given the Move support a quick play. Psytec has done a great job porting its control scheme to the motion controllers; aiming youe hookshots feels great. Inevitably, the lack of analogue sticks makes things a little fidgety, but if you’ve been dying for motion controls in the game this is as good as it will get.
On top of support for Move, the patch will also be bringing PS4 Pro enhancements to the game to make it look even better inside your headset.
Oh and, as a final note, Japanese players should finally be able to pick up Windlands and Psytec’s Crystal Rift by the end of the month. So there’s that.
