Zombie Riot, Nvidia Funhouse, and Cosmic Trip Are Coming to Touch, OC3 Trailers Released

We’re expecting plenty of new Oculus Touch games to be revealed at the Oculus Connect 3 keynote later today, but clearly some developers can’t wait that long.

Three studios this week debuted fresh looks at their games, two of which for the first time on Oculus’ anticipated position tracked controllers. First up is a new trailer for ZR: Zombie Riot, a cartoonish zombie shooter from PlaySideVR. The below trailer gives you a good look at the wave-based gameplay, in which you’ll use pistols, shotguns and machine guns to mow down hordes of the undead. Think of it as a Saturday morning cartoon take on The Brookhaven Experiment, though still not for your kids.

Next up we have Nvidia’s impressive carnival-themed VR tech demo, VR Funhouse. This was already released for free on the HTC Vive earlier this year, but the GPU maker is bringing a refreshed version to the Oculus platform with new levels. That includes Wall Walker Toss and HotShot Basketball, both of which are ideal for the new controllers. The new trailer gives you a look at both alongside the other games.

Finally, Funktronic Labs has announced that Cosmic Trip, another game previously only on the Vive, is Rift-bound. We previously labelled this as a “wonderful” strategic game. Sadly there’s no trailer for this one (not that it would look any different from the Vive edition), but the developer has promised redesigned Touch controllers and support for both 180 and 360 degree gameplay.

Obviously none of these titles can actually release until Touch itself is out. Earlier today an Amazon listing suggested the kit might arrive on November 23rd, but we’ll no doubt discover both the final release date and price at the OC3 keynote speech, which gets underway at 10:00 am PT. We’ll be bringing you all of the latest updates from the show.
