After the success of the VR Awards 2017, nominations have reopened again for 2018.
The VR Awards which saw the likes of AMD Studios, Oculus, HTC, Google, Framestore, Rebellion, Leap Motion, Epic Games and many more has continued to grow, while introducing new categories aimed at celebrating the best in VR.
Prospective nominees can nominate their project or company until the 1st May 2018 for the following categories:
- VR Headset of the Year
- VR Game of the Year
- VR Experience of the Year
- VR Film of the Year
- VR Marketing of the Year
- Rising VR Company of the Year
- Innovative VR Company of the Year
- VR Social Impact Award
- VR Architecture & Real Estate of the Year
- VR Education & Training of the Year
- VR Healthcare of the Year
- Out-of-Home VR Entertainment of the Year
With over 400 pre-registered nominations, the stage has been set for another incredible lineup of award worthy nominees on the 16th October 2018 but the deadline is fast approaching for those interested.
After a qualifying nomination is received and shortlisted, a team of over 40 expert judges through the VR industry will then review an application and test it in one of the 4 international judging locations in preparation for the announcement of winners on the night of the awards.
On the night, over 300 delegates will travel across the world for industry round tables, a 3 course dinner with champagne reception, live entertainment and VIP after party in the heart of Central London.
Last year saw the likes of Ikea VR winning big for in Creative use of Marketing in VR, Penrose Studios picking up an Award for Allumette in VR Media / Film of the Year while Google walked away with two awards for the Google Daydream headset and Google Tilt Brush.
