Robotic Waitresses And Motion Capture DJs Make This E3 Party A Must See

E3 2016 kicks off in just a few very short days. Soon, the world’s most rabid video game fans will be descending upon Los Angeles to check out what they will be playing in the upcoming year (or in some cases, in a few upcoming years). This horde of ravenous technology enthusiasts will spend next week eating, drinking, playing, and – yes – even partying. And what better way is there to party than with a robotic waitress, motion capture DJs, and a green screen mixed reality studio? That’s exactly what you’ll find at UploadVR’s E3 party, kicking off on Tuesday June 14.

The event will take place at the historic LA Exchange and will feature incredible virtual reality demos, a who’s who of VR’s best and brightest influencers, and – of course – a robot waitress. Now, obviously, this nice lady will not actually be a robot. She will, in reality, be adorned in a truly unique wardrobe provided by the celebrated Dutch fashion designer, Anouk Wipprecht

Wipprecht’s designs are a playful take on party-wear. They combine a tastefully designed gown with some very bold technology. Wipprecht’s dress comes equipped with a peristaltic pump on the back capable of serving gin and tonic shots directly from the server’s outfit.

The future is here folks. Grab a glass and drink up.

If waitresses from another dimension aren’t your thing, than let me also point out that the UploadVR E3 shindig will feature not one, but two, very talented DJs. The headlining DJ will be two-time GRAMMY nominee Morgan Page known for hits such as “Longest Road, “In The Air,” “Body Work,” and “Open Heart.”

Joining Page at this E3 blowout will be Grimecraft for a special presentation of The Wave, and notable LA DJ, Christofi. Christofi will wear a state-of-the art motion capture rig provided by Xsesns and project  a 20 foot avatar of himself (created by House of Moves) onto the Exchange’s massive LED displays.

There will also be a special demo presentation from Simplygon, which will be taking over the Skyloft VIP area to show how its technology can help VR developers hit a high frame rate.

The presenting sponsor for the event is Nokia who will be bringing its new OZO 360 VR camera.

Lastly don’t forget to stop by the party’s own mixed reality green screen capture studio so you can find yourself in a video like this one:

Okay, let’s be honest, if you missed all of that you would grow into your old age far too bitter and full of regret to be of any use to your family at all. Don’t do that to your family. Sign up for tickets to this once in a lifetime experience on EventBrite today.
