ROCCAT Games Puts You on an Elevator to the Moon

You find yourself underground, trapped in a small room. You hear the President’s voice over the intercom. In a comical Austrian accent, he informs you that you’re actually in a broken space elevator destined for a lunar base, and it’s your job to fix it. This is the premise behind ROCCAT Games’ aptly-titled Elevator to the Moon.

Developed by a team of three (while the rest of ROCCAT Games focused on the multiplayer strategy game Sick City) Elevator to the Moon keeps players in the titular lift while they solve various technical problems. Judging by the trailer, these tasks seem similar to objectives in Job Simulator or Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality. The demented President Slater-Roccmeier- who sounds like The Simpon’s McBain, making him a parody of a parody- provides direction and jokes during the ascent.

Elevator to the Moon launches on Oculus Rift and Gear VR in October.
