In celebration of National Dance Day 2017, Upload LA is hosting an immersive exploration of the intersection between dance and virtual reality. Dance is the ultimate expression of bodily movement while VR is the pinnacle of visual experience. Combine the two together for a powerful, full-body immersive experience.
Join us for an evening of dance showcases, 360 films, VR music demos, a sound bath, live immersive visuals, and – of course – dance. We’ll even be creating our own immersive content as we learn the National Dance Day Routine Choreography and then create a 360 film to be shared with the National Dance Day community.
For the first two hours, we will be getting into the right mindset for dance and learning the National Dance Day choreography. The full event begins at 6 pm with a showcase of incredible talent so you’re welcome to show up then. From 8 pm to 9:30 we’ll have a mesmerizing visual experience combined with beautiful music and an opportunity for everyone to dance. The grand finale will happen at 9:30 as we film the National Dance Day Routine in full 360. This will certainly be a night to remember and one you won’t want to miss!
